When Did Love Become Just About Sex?

Ask someone today "Are you in love?" and the next question is "Have you guys done it?" Somehow, we have started measuring love by how physical it is. If you haven't had sex, it's not "serious." If you have, it must be love. We have confused intimacy with love and love with body count. Why did this happen? 1. Because Movies and Reels Sold Us This Idea Every love story now has to have a kissing scene, a bedroom scene, a "first time" s cene. No movie shows two people just sitting and talking for 3 hours and feeling safe. That doesn't sell. So we started thinking, if my relationship doesn't look like that, maybe it's not love. Instagram, web series, porn - everything tells us love = hot body, sex, physical attraction. Nobody teaches us about emotional intimacy. 2. Because Physical Is Easier Than Emotional To have sex with someone, you need 30 minutes. To actually love someone, you need patience, forgiveness, listening, fighting...

The Ones Who Can't Even Scream: Who Will Speak For Them?

We raise our voice when a girl is raped. We protest, we post stories, we demand justice. And we should. Because she has a voice, even if society tries to silence her, she can still say "he did this to me." But what about those who don't have a voice at all? What about the stray dog in your street who is chased and mounted by 5-6 male dogs at once? She screams, she tries to run, she bleeds, but no one calls it rape. We call it "nature." She gets pregnant. Gives birth under a car, in the rain. 7 puppies. 5 die. After 4 months, she is pregnant again. And again. And again. Till her body gives up. What about the cow tied in a dairy? She is artificially made pregnant again and again. Her calf is taken away on day one so we can take her milk. She cries for 2-3 days straight. We have all heard that cry. Then when her body can't produce milk anymore, she is loaded in a truck. We know where she goes. No one files an FIR for her. We teach our girls about consent. ...

What to Learn and What NOT to Learn from Shri Krishna

This Janmashtami, let's understand Kanha beyond Makhan and Murli We all love Krishna - the Makhan Chor, the flute player, the friend, the lover, the guide. But his life is not just stories, it's a life manual. Here's what we should really learn from him, and what we often learn wrong.  WHAT TO LEARN FROM SHRI KRISHNA: 1. Do your Dharma without attachment to result This is the core of Gita. "Karm karo, phal ki chinta mat karo." Krishna teaches us to give our 100% but not to be broken if the result is not what we expected. 2. Love purely, not possessively Radha Krishna's love was the purest. There was no demand, no jealousy, no possession. Learn to love people freely, not to control them. 3. Be joyful in every situation Whether in jail as a child, in Vrindavan with gopis, or in the middle of the Mahabharata war - Krishna never lost his smile and his flute. Life will be tough, but keep your joy alive. 4. Be a great friend Like his friendship with Sudama. No ego,...
